Turkey Hill Brook Farm is a small central MA horse farm, owned by Robert & Ellen Sousa, which is registered by the National Wildlife Federation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We are concerned that New England is losing many of its traditional agricultural ways of life, and that the wildlife integral to a healthy environment are being crowded out of the places and plants they call home.

Our farm has joined a national movement of "habitat landscaping", in which homeowners help provide habitat in their backyards to the many birds, butterflies and other important creatures who share our world.

Ellen Sousa writes about her gardening experiences for magazines and is currently writing a book about habitat gardening in New England. She also mentors other gardeners, providing advice and plant suggestions for clients who want to garden, but need a little advice and hand-holding through the process.
